Status: Secondary character(he doesn't appear much).

Stevie is someone under Kreizler's care he was put there due to theving in a gang and when a police officer tried to assault Stevie fought back and badly injuried the guard. At the time of the book Stevie is a driver for Kreizler.

Stevie Taggart during the events of the book lives at Kreizlers residence where he helps around the house. Stevie also serves as a driver for Kreizler's calash. In teh story he is used as help for figuring out how our killer might have been getting to the boys he was killing since none of them every had eveidence of leaving where they resigned. Stevie is used since he used to steal from houses and he can give valuable information on how he and others got into such places while remaining unseen and unheard.

Stevie's father is never mentioned and is left as unknown while his mother was described as a drug addict, and after Stevie refused to keep stealing to aid in her addiction she seemingly abandoned him to live with someone who could. Since Stevie is only twelve during the events of the book writing down just what his childhood was like is difficult since he is still a child. We do know that he went to jail for crimes of theivery and crimes of assaulting an officer at 10 years old.

Bad Qualities in the story

Stevie isn't a character that has a lot of bad qualities since he simply isn't in the story enough to completly figure out the patterns of his attuide. And in most scenes we see him in he's only being of aid or is merely a presence their and not very major.

Bad qualities

The only bad qualities that Stevie has isn't one that is directly linked to the case and its his past habit of stealing and the assualt on the police officer which at times gets him into heated situations with others especially police who at times threaten him. Another minor bad quality is simply the fact he's addicted to smoking which in the context of the story is very small, but it does get him scolded occasionally.

Stevie while being minor character is quite likeable because he's more in my age range. And he does have relatable qualities. Also his at time quick witted personality add to his character and i'd consider him rather smart for getting our main characters out of sticky situations due to his connections with the underside of the city.
